1.3247 (M42 HSS) High Speed  Steel

M42 High speed steel has a wide range usage at metal industry, It is typically recommend to use when M2 High speed steel has inadequate performance. M42 has well balanced Wolfram, Cobalt, Vanadium, Carbon which allows excellent performance for cutting tools as reamers, knock out pins, ejector pin, cutting tools, thread rolling die and the other cold forging tools. M42 high speed steels has 8% additional cobalt added which differs with typical M2 Type Hss. M42 has excellent wear and toughness resistance at its cornes to be braken that is why It is mainly used for superior cutting tools industry.
